Blisters and bubbles
Blisters form when air or moisture gets trapped under the roof surface. Some are harmless for a while. Others crack open and let water in. Before you decide what to do, you should know whether there’s moisture underneath.
Flashing failures
Where a flat roof meets a wall, a chimney or a sloped roof, the membrane has to turn up and be covered by metal flashing. These joints take the most movement and are often where porch and addition roofs leak first.
